Another Khao Lak secret!

What a great day!

After our various chores, we stopped in the very small Phra Si Nakarin Park at the southern edge of Phang Nga town. What a nice surprise! Several beautiful caves, fresh springs, easy path ways and monkeys! Right in the middle of town, so it was the perfect place for kids to skip school and chase each other around, families to go for a picnic and Foreigners to walk around with cameras.

Click on this to see the blow up. he's wrapped in a very attractive (fake) tigerskin sheet.

We go to Phang Nga town every month and we discover new and exciting things every time. Last time was exploring Sa Nang Manora Forest Park on the northern edge of town. Also quite nice and very serene.

The whole area bewteen Khao Lak and Phang Nga bay is just spectacular, with limestone karsts (those weird towers), waterfalls, forests and small temples and parks that are just not in any guide books.

The diving on the Similans is great, but these little secrets make this p[lace golden!
