SIMILAN ISLANDS LIVEABOARD TRIP # 19 "NEW YEAR TRIP"

"HAPPY NEW YEAR" we wish you all the best for the future.
On 31st December 2008 we set out to paradise once again for the last time in 2008, the Similans for new years eve! The wicked crew this trip was Filip the trip leader to bring in the new year, Marcel as the new years Divemaster who took the honor of guiding some fundivers and Tuk as an Instructor led two new Open Water Divers from last trip who just signed up to the 2nd level as Advanced Open Water Divers!

This trip we went up to north of the Similans and the first location we hit this time was Koh Bon, even though once again there were no Manta Rays, the visibility still was amazing and then we headed to Turtle Rock before a night dive at Donald Duck Bay, there was a massive Loster and lots of Giant Moray's hunting at night.

Beacon Reef was the first dive site of the year 2009, that was lovely morning dive with a Leopard Shark beside the wreck then after breakfast and relaxing we went to Anita's Reef, that was gorgeous, lots of Garden Eels and Khuls Stingrays. A fantastic dive at West Of Eden with lots of Tuna cruising by, before we headed back to Donald Duck Bay for our new years eve's dinner and "the Wicked Diving's new years lottery".

North Point is the dive site you'll never get disappointed with, a boulder site with lots of different marine life and swim throughs. We ended the dive with two Sea Turtles, that was lovely. Bangu Bay was really nice with a Banded Sea Snake and another Hawksbill Turtle. Koh Bon was the last dive location for the new years trip, and a special treat .... a Manta Ray...("Marcel, you're just lucky, right?")

We'd like to thank to all of you guys who joined us, you're wicked!
The first couple who were with us two trips in a row and congratulations to two new Advanced Open Water Divers Pascal and Christelle. Very well done, guys.
Iain and Bethan from the UK. Guido from Italy. Nina and Kathi from Germany. Hopefully everyones enjoyed it and thanks to Marcel who did a good job. Especially a Manta Ray, LUCKY wasn't he?
Dan and Emily, a sweet couple from Australia. Michelle from Canada. What you guys have seen this time we hope you enjoyed it and come out again in the next holiday for more more and more!
Pavel from Germany, Malena from China and their first time to the Similans. Happy ending with 2 Turtles and no more seasick for you, Pavel in the next live-aboard.
Oh Yes! the wicked family on the trip, thanks to you all. Chris, Pippa, Emma, Marcus and Alice. Snorkelers and junior snorkelers. We hope you guys had a great time bringing in the New Year, and your first time on a live-aboard. See you for some more new activities again soon.... scuba diving for example...hehe!

Fun Corner!
The Wicked Diving new years lottery and the best price was breakfast served from "girl" Filip. Dan seems to be really happy with his prize which was a pack of Seasickness tablets! Emma took the honor of drawing the dive site map for the trip, and Christelle won the most expensive price which was join a Wicked Diving trip for free (in 2009)...So jealous!!!

Thank you everyone once again for your very warm visit. We are glad to see the smiles and laughter and we are glad to be apart of your holiday. Enjoy traveling and have a safe journey home everyone.

Thanks Tuk

Sitting here at work thinking about what a great time me and Emily had, plus worrying about the amount of seasickness tablets I consumed in such a short space of time.

Hope you are having a great 2009. Keep in touch.
