Similan Liveaboard - Trip Report - December 5

Similan Liveaboard Trip with Wicked Diving

December 3rd- December 5th

The trip got back with huge smiling faces and great memories!

This trip had Tuk as the mighty man in charge with his happy helpers Karina and Diego.

Bern and Sarah were assisting on the boat and the courses. They are two of our current divemaster trainee's.

Our guests on this trip:

Kim, Ray, Ryan, Wauter, Anne, Lindsey, Bruno, Paula, mark, Matt and Paul

Paul finished off his Open Water course while on the trip (congratulations Paul!!!) and MArk did both his Nitrox and his Advanced course! Did you the Know the Advanced course is only 4900 Baht while on the trips? What a bargain...

:)

The was plenty of sun on the Similan Islands but it did get a bit more wavy as the trip went on. Nothing too much...but not the mirror smooth seas we've recently had.

Underwater the visibility was tending towards 25 meters...pretty common just after a full moon. Still plenty of fish and marine life...more than enough for this trip...we gotta have some more for later in the season!

For those of you that have joined us this season...we have a new game...with toothbrushes. Only the strong survive!!!!

Here we are witness to the completely pre-meditated toothbrushing of a fellow diver!

The agony!!!

IF this makes no sense....well, you will just have to join us to see how we put a great deal of effort into making each trip more than just a Similan diving safari...we make this an experience that will last a lifetime.

We look forward to having you join us (or join us again!!!)

Similan Islands Diving - Barracuda

video
Here is some more great footage from Steff - our master videographer. This is a huge barracuda - almost 2 meters long (6 feet).

Not at all fearful of humans, he is most clearly not vegetarian! Those big-ass teeth make that point clear enough.

Oddly enough, the Barracuda's in this region are non-aggressive to humans. In the Caribbean they are more dangerous, but for reasons we do not understand - they seem to leave humans alone. We are happy about that...as these...known as Great Barracuda's are clearly not pacifists!!!

Similan Liveaboard - Lisa's 100th dive!

While it is something of a tradition to do your 100th dive....naked.

However, we took pity on Lisa. Instead she wore a plaid toga and devil hat to celebrate this dive!

It appears that the fish were not too scared (though very confused) . Instead, her boyfriend Seb DID scare the fish in his boxer shorts.

A huge congratulations to Lisa - 100 dives is a big step!

And Seb...we'll not be doing that again!

Beacon Reef South - Similan Islands Dive Site Description

The Wicked Diving site has many features. One of the large sections that may be overlooked is our Dive site descriptions. With more than 30 dive sites there, and more coming, it is one of the most extensive resources in the region.

The most recent update was to the Beacon Reef South dive site. If you keep coming back you will see that we are updating the pages frequently. With links to marine life, photos, videos and more.

All that AND great diving!

Richelieu Rock Liveaboard Trip with Wicked Diving - Trip Report

Our liveboard just returned and Tuk posted this trip report:

The mighty Parinee took our guests out to Richelieu Rock and beyond.

On Day one we visited Koh Bon Ridge and then Koh Tachai Reef in the evening.

Day two found us at Richelieu Rock for the first and second dive of the day. we then visited Koh Tachai for dive three and the night dive was at 2 trees.

The third day took us to Koh Tachai Pinnacle and Koh Bon Wall.

Ricky was the trip leader with Diego and me (Tuk). Want to learn more about us? Team Wicked Pages.

We had Seb & Lisa joining us (again!), Germa & Kamiel, Lydia & Hamish, Elly & Gery, Jon & earn & Ming & Wie as well as Kim From Koh Tao.

John, Ming, Wie and Earn all did their Advanced course while on the trip!

The weather above the water was perfect - smooth waters, clear skies and great night skies. Thought Germa got a bit silly from too much CO2 (from her orange:)

Underwater: visibility was nearly perfect. 30 meters or more viz plus plenty of fish!

Cuttle fish on the night dive was one of the real highlights for me!

Want to join us? Our Richelieu Rock Liveaboard has limited departures throughout our season.
